2009-03-02 New fingerprint enrollment device FC320 is now PIV approved

Startek is pleased to announce that the FC320, an advanced single finger capture device, has been certified by the FBI as compliant with the US Government’s FIPS 201/PIV requirements. FIPS 201 places stringent requirements on the image quality of fingerprint devices as established by the FBI’s Image Quality Specifications. In addition, the FC320 can work with Startek’s NIST MINEX approved template extraction and matching algorithms. The FBI’s PIV testing ensures excellent image quality of the fingerprint hardware, while NIST’s MINEX testing ensures accuracy and interoperability of fingerprint template extraction and matching algorithms. The result shows that FC320 is a robust module that meets all of the relevant requirements for FIPS 201/PIV compliance.

FC320 is an ideal device for applications such as child ID programs, border and port entry/exit control, national ID programs and any other fingerprint registration programs. FC320 has 500DPI high scanning resolution, 1.2"*1.2" generous coating-free capture platen area (effective sensing area is 0.9" x 0.9") and MINEX compliant SDK available. We are very pleased to offer to any system integration company our FC320 that meets FBI specifications.
